The Northey Street House B&B Signature Deluxe room, the Captain's Quarters, is located on the 2nd floor of the inn adjacent to the living room, but separated by the stair well. It is a spacious 15' x 16' room, comparable to the Woodbury room, with a standard 8' ceiling height. The Captain's Quarters features a nautical theme with old schooner sailing prints, seashells, and many little nods to the sea faring Captain, Isaiah Woodbury, who occupied the house. Accommodations include a queen bed, a loveseat convertible, antique coffee table and 5 drawer chest of drawers, and a large private bath with a tub/shower combination, shelving and vanity.
The shower has a pull-out handheld massage shower head. The futon bed is firm and yet soft for a very comfortable night's rest. We use only hotel quality premium down and 100% cotton bedding.
The room is equipped with iron & board, hair dryer, extra towels and toiletries.
The fireplace is the original 1800's with marble slab (non-working, but well stocked with candles & hurricane lanterns). There is a programmable thermostat right outside the room which controls the entire floor. Guests can bump it up or down to adjust for comfort. The room has an additional safe, soft radiant heat, low wattage wall mounted heater for guests use.
