The Garden Room on the 1st floor is a classic Zen-like room with an Asian inspired decor. It is truly a labor of love. Designed by Flora as a 2005 addition. It utilizes the Japanese small space concept: efficient and effective use of every inch of space. The 5 windows and glass patio doors bring in much natural light which can be controlled by room darkening curtains. Additional glass blocks & shoji screen-like door bring the light further into the bath area. Guests feel like they are nestled in a corner of the garden and is in harmony with nature. Interior decor was designed by Flora's daughter, a senior at Parson's School of Design in NYC.
The Garden room has a private entrance that opens out to the Japanese garden. Accommodation features a queen bed, a sitting area, a desk & chair, and a private bath with a tub/shower combination. There is also a mini-fridge & electric hot water kettle.
The shower has a pull-out handheld massage shower head. We use only hotel quality premium down and 100% cotton bedding.
The rooms are equipped with hair dryers, extra towels and toiletries.
The room provides easy access to garden lounging.
