The Northey Street House B&B Woodbury Room

This historic Federal style house has a higher 9' ceiling height on the first floor, a standard 8' ceiling height on the 2nd floor, and a lower 7'4" height on the 3rd floor. The deluxe Woodbury Room on the 1st floor of the inn is a spacious 15' x 16' room named after Captain Isaiah Woodbury, who occupied the house. It was probably used as a parlor in the 18th century where important guests were greeted and merchant business conducted. The high ceiling makes for a grand introduction to the house. The Woodbury room features the original 18th century architectural fireplace mantle with Federal style antique fireplace andirons & screen, mirrors, and period prints really takes you back to the 18th century. A queen bed, two antique night stands, an antique sitting bench, antique chest of drawers with TV/DVD/VCR atop, a twin size convertible couch/bed, a round table with two Shaker ladderback chairs, a wing chair with foot stool and an antique arm chair completes the room. The fireplace with marble slab, though non-working, is filled with antique hurricane lanterns and is well stocked with candles for a soothing ambience.

The room has a spacious private full bath with a standing shower stall and built in wall heater. The shower has a pull-out handheld massage shower head. We use only hotel quality premium down and 100% cotton bedding. The rooms are equipped with hair dryers, extra towels and toiletries. The room has a safe, soft radiant heat, low wattage heater for guests use.
