The Captain's quarters on the 2nd floor is a spacious 15' x 16' room with a standard 8' ceiling height. It features a queen bed, a loveseat futon couch/bed, and a large private bath with a tub/shower.
The shower has a pull-out handheld massage shower head. The futon bed is firm and yet soft for a very comfortable night's rest. We use only hotel quality premium down and 100% cotton bedding.
The room is equipped with iron & board, hair dryer, extra towels and toiletries.
The fireplaces are the original 1800's with marble slab (non-working, but stocked with candles & hurricane lanterns). There is a programmable thermostat right outside the room which controls the entire floor. Guests can bump it up or down to adjust for comfort. The room has an additional safe, soft radiant heat, low wattage wall mounted heater which guests can leave on or off.
Your rate includes: a delicious, well-selected hearty breakfast each morning consisting of freshly cut fruits, baked goods, gourmet coffee freshly brewed, and an assortment of juices, yogurts, hot & cold cereals and beverages.
You can always access the kitchen for ice, beverages, and snacks. Other Free amenities include color cable TV with DVD or VCR, free wired/wireless secure internet access, local land line telephone and fax services,
ample on-site parking (a rarity in Salem), and in-room air conditioning (seasonal) in a smoke-free environment.
